June 14, 2009 - Comments on our 2 COMPETITIONS

Hi guys,

We had 2 competitions last weekend (1 short contest for InstantUS logo, and the big one for the MYOFFERS logo).

If you have any comments, or feedback you want to share with us, or ideas how to improve the contests next time please share them below.

We would be happy to read all your comments, and we promise to pay attention to all ideas.

So, that what happens...

i think the guy that win the my offers competition was unfair, its the same logo that was before he just change the formats.

the contest was to enter with a selfmade logo.

well i'm not saying to take back the prize(if you already sent) or just remake the contest, i'm just making my opinion.
i didn't came soon enough to post mine, so anyways i would lose. i just thought it was unfair to the people that posted their own logos.

I would have to agree with Arthurxd0 as the person who won the contest virtually didn't make any changes at all to the older one. I believe the one posted above me looks brilliant and totally different from the one before. Seriously, I didn't notice any changes to the image before I read the contest thread about the new winner.

I don't think the Admin should take back the prize even if the cash prize hasn't been sent yet but instead create another contest regarding the same thing.

I, in no way am trying to be rude or discriminate but just trying to give my own opinion. Thanks.

It was an unfair contest. I wasted hours to create something unique and you have accepted an image that is exactly the same as before. Really disappointed with this contest. It did not deserve 20$ for just changed it from flash to gif image.

@victor - Have a look at my entries, they're quite decent too.

@gptreasure - You specifically mentioned in your thread - "The task is simple - create a new MY OFFERS logo"

A NEW logo and not the exact old logo just changed to gif image. It was an unfair contest and we were completely misinformed. Next time please don't give such huge money for a simple task.

Alright, I'll have a look at them.

Let me also apologize on behalf of the Admin. I will speak with him on this matter.

Out of many I'm sure many did a good job, but here it's not easy to say 'no' to one and 'yes' to the other, so we were looking at every creation, trying to find something unique.

Perhaps we should have made it with top 5 prizes, so at least 5 users would be happy and not only one, is that what you're saying?

Maybe you could have done something like that. But, giving the prize to someone who did not do anything may have annoyed everyone that put in effort and completely unfair is what I'm saying and shouldn't have taken 2 days to decide something like that.
