i think it is not a good idea

i can understand the reasons but the magic of our great site is the time 24-48 h to pay , i think many will move to other sites
so i suggest these to cover
1- you can begin ordinary contests - including the good and active referrals- the contest can be weekly or monthly
2- you have to add more offers so the time will be shorter if we can been paid with big sum
....
that was my opinion

I'm sorry it's sad news but it's a step we have to take, and it will ensure better payouts in the long run (maybe you won't see it now at this precise moment, but you're welcome to check how things will be later).
