For the new year we have a very simple contest open to everyone.

This is our normal logo of our site:

The Mission:

Create a new logo with 2009. The logo must be remained with 490 x 100 pixels, as it is, besides that you're welcome to change it or suggest a new logo for Gptreasure for 2009.
We'd personally prefer if you change only the $ sign, and keep the "GPTreasure" as it is, however you're welcome to bring up your own creations.

Prizes:

Best logo creation - prize of $25!

How long is this contest for?

The contest would be open until best logo creation is posted. So be quick about it!

This an interesting contest, I don't know desing, it's difficult for me.

Maybe, another person can desing a new logo for the best web on the world :).

Had the idea of water... O.o Well if you don't like it so i can make another one... It took me between half hour to hour make this. :P
Anyway, as for a new, it looks like a good and trusted website, but now just need hopes.

The new contest sounds great.

Here is my go at it.

The original is actually with a transparent background, however I placed a black background to further enhance its effects for you to see how it will look like on a colored (non-white) background.

Any comments to improve it is welcomed :)

Regarding my design:
I remained the original globe icon on the left as if I'm not wrong, it was mentioned in the contest to try to keep that plus I think it looks great to depict that GPTreasure serves worldwide users.

The GPTreasure text however, I modded it so that the s in the Treasure is now a dollar sign, plus the GPT changed to a different color to highlight the "GPT".

Reflection was added for further effects although I might probably change that in a bit
