If you still haven't heard the news there is a chaos all over Egypt. The people are upset with their life condition there!
There was high unemployment rate, expensive food, it was very hard to live there (for most people) and they decided they can't take it anymore.
The country is totally under big chaos as we speak. Many inmates escaped from jail, the police cannot do anything. People are very upset there, and some even report a group of protesters broke into the national museum, destroeyd everything inside and even cut the heads of the mummies that were there.
In terms of economy, although the Egyptian economy used to be stable until now from a 'foreign point of view' including 'good' interest rates for investors (I think around 4%) it has now crashed, the currency and their stock market are crashing and the situation is really really bad.
I've also heard the Internet is shut-down and the mobile networks don't operate, the government doesn't want the protesters to use the media to show what's going on. Al Jazira news has stopped broadcasting as well and it's quite impossible to get accurate reports from there.
