why is it that my postal code is always invalid?

Some websites require an american "zipcode", it's a dfferent type of postal code, containing 5 numbers, a _ and then 4 more numbers.
The problem could also be how you put it in. Usually websites don't allow a space in postal codes.

If that's not it, please give more information!

Try the new US zipcode (9 digits e.g. 12345-6789), Canadian or Australian postcodes and see if it works?
